About Medlife
Pre-Med Central has partnered with MEDLIFE to provide an opportunity for our members to go on service-learning trips. MEDLIFE is a non-profit organization that was founded by Nick Ellis in 2004. It works with underserved communities in Latin America and Africa to improve their access to medicine, education, and development. The MEDLIFE Mobile Clinics deliver primary care services to families and communities that do not have access to such resources, along with providing year-round follow-up care and preventative health education. Service-learning trips also have a community development aspect depending on the location. By creating a sub-chapter here at UC Merced we are actively supporting the MEDLIFE Movement to “create a world free from the constraints of poverty.”
